Family of Faith Christian University has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement form. The University has used no less than 50% of its CARES Act allocations under Section 18004(a)(1) to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
FFCU received $3,020 from the Department pursuant to our Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. All funds received were distributed to the 4 students who were eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
FFCU determined which students would receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants based on whether or not the student was part time or full time. Full time students received $906 and part time students received $604 under Section 1800(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
Each student filled out a Student Request Form, which allowed them to report their expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the Coronavirus. Disbursements were made and students received a check for the full amount for which they were eligible based on the number of credit hours for which they were enrolled during the spring 2020 semester. Students signed an official form on university letterhead affirming that they had received all funds from the CARES Act for which they were eligible.
