Occasionally a student’s transcript will show credit for a course that is same or similar to a modular course in the ADVANCE Program. If the course is identical, the student might be excused from taking the modular course with their cohort. This means that the student has Advance Standing for courses already taken in previous academic work which will not be required to be taken in the ADVANCE Program. However, the student can only be excused from one modular course per semester. The student has the option of either requesting a tuition refund or applying the unused tuition to his/her account. If a student receives advance standing for courses already taken, and is not required to take those respective courses in the ADVANCE Program, the student must still have 130 semester hours of course work in the proper categories to graduate.
